Making money from… roadkill!
June 13, 2007One man in the UK has found an unusual way to make a profit from animals squashed flat by passing traffic…
He had a special hotline set up, so people could call him when they see a dead animal on the road. He collects the animal, skins it - eats the meat - then collects the hide.
He’ll then put it in a frame - and sell it! He’s currently selling a squashed hare and fox in a frame for £35,000 (English pounds) - that’s just under $69,000 US dollars.
I don’t know how many he’s sold though… (My guess is - not many.)
